What we do

Biometric and ID photos

Turkish ID card, passport and driving licence. 50x60 mm, white background.

Visa photos

United States, Schengen, United Kingdom, Canada, China and other countries. We shoot and print in each country's own size.

Residence and work permit photos

50x60 mm biometric photos for e-ikamet residence permit and work permit applications.

Digital photo file

For online applications. Prepared to the pixel and file size limit of DS-160, e-ikamet and other portals.

Baby and child biometric photos

We also take ID, passport and visa photos for babies. It needs different equipment and patience. We are used to it.

Business portraits

For lawyers, doctors, academics and company ID cards. LinkedIn and company website photos too. Studio lighting and retouching included.

Photo prints

Prints from wallet size to 20x30.

You get both: printed photos and a digital file

Most applications need both. You take the printed photo to your appointment and upload the digital file to the application form. Both come from the same session.

Printed photos

Printed on photo paper in the size your country requires. In your hand in 5 minutes.

Digital file

Prepared to the pixel and file size limit of your application portal. Sent by email or WhatsApp.

How five minutes is possible

We don't send prints out to a lab and we don't ask you to come back tomorrow. We use a professional thermal photo printer in the studio. It prints on photo paper in seconds, at archival quality. Speed does not cost you quality here.

The session takes 2–3 minutes. Printing and preparing the digital file takes 2 minutes. Five minutes in total.

Why file size matters

Even when the size is correct, the portal rejects the upload if the file is over its limit. The limits differ a lot by country. The U.S. DS-160 form accepts up to 240 KB. The Russian visa portal caps at around 30 KB. Tell us which application the file is for and we prepare it to that limit.

Why phone photos get rejected

Phone apps crop to the right size. Size is not the problem.

  • Background. There is a shadow on the wall behind you. The background an app removes stays ragged at the edges.
  • Lighting. One side of the face comes out darker than the other. Automated checks catch this.
  • Head ratio. The distance from chin to the top of the hair has a fixed ratio to the photo height. Phone distance changes every time, so the ratio doesn't hold.
  • Print quality. Photos printed on a home printer are not accepted at application centres.

A rejected photo does not just cost you the photo. It costs you the appointment. The next slot can be weeks away.

If the authority does not accept a photo we took, we shoot it again. No charge.

Five common mistakes

  • Using one country's photo for another. A square 51x51 mm photo taken for a US visa is not accepted for Schengen. A Turkish ID photo is not accepted for a US visa either.
  • Shooting on a phone and cropping in an app. The app can hit the size. It usually cannot hit the background, the lighting or the head ratio.
  • Using a photo older than six months. Almost every country wants a photo taken in the last six months.
  • Wrong size or digital format. Submitting 2x2 inch for a country that wants 35x45 mm, or the reverse. DS-160 needs a square JPEG between 600x600 and 1200x1200 pixels, max 240 KB.
  • Glasses, smiling or a coloured background. Glasses have been banned in US visa photos since 1 November 2016. Most countries want a neutral expression and a plain light background; shadows and patterns are rejected.

How it works

  1. Come in

No appointment needed. Tell us which document or which country the photo is for.

Correct size, correct background. Takes 2–3 minutes.

  3. Take it with you

Prints and digital file delivered in 5 minutes. If the authority does not accept it, we shoot again at no charge.

Questions people ask

Do I need an appointment?

No. Just come in.

How much does a passport photo cost in Ankara?

Four biometric or ID photos cost 500 ₺ at our studio, VAT included. The 2026 ceiling price set by the Ankara Chamber of Commerce for the same service is 714 ₺ plus VAT.

Do you give the digital file as well as prints?

Yes. Prints plus digital file cost 650 ₺, digital file only costs 400 ₺. We send the file by email or WhatsApp.

What size is a US visa photo?

51x51 mm, that is 2x2 inches, square. The file uploaded to the DS-160 form must be at least 600x600 pixels and no larger than 240 KB.

What size is a Schengen visa photo?

35x45 mm, that is 3.5x4.5 cm.

Can I use a photo I took with my phone?

You can, but we don't recommend it. Even when the size is right, background shadows, uneven lighting and the head ratio often fail the standard. A rejected photo costs you your appointment.

What is the difference between a biometric photo and an ID photo?

A biometric photo is for official applications such as ID, passport, driving licence and visas: white background, neutral expression, fixed size. An ID photo for a job or school application has looser rules.

Can you take a biometric photo of my baby?

Yes. We take ID, passport and visa photos for babies too.

How long does it take?

5 minutes. The session takes 2–3 minutes and printing plus preparing the digital file takes 2 minutes. We print in the studio ourselves.

What if my photo is rejected?

We shoot it again at no charge.
